In 1983, Jodi graduated from Touro College in New York, earned her B.S. degree in Physician Assistant with honors, and received the Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award.
Jodi joined Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Physician Assistant in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, and in 1986, she relocated to become Chief Physician Assistant of Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware. Her clinical responsibilities broadened to include staff management and mentoring of PA students.
During her career in 1991, Jodi accompanied the heart team to China, where they shared knowledge with the Chinese medical staff and performed heart surgeries. This exposure to the Eastern way served as the catalyst to begin studying Eastern Philosophy, ancient healing arts, and meditation.
In 2001, Jodi left her 18 year career to walk the world, which included a trek across the Himalayan Mountains. Upon returning to the states, she was given a box of exotic face crèmes. Intrigued by the product purity and bio-energy qualities, she traveled back to India to meet the founding family of Sadatan LTD, a Sanskrit word meaning eternal. Darshän Beauty LLC was created following her return.
A journey into the Indian jungle in 2004, to walk with the tribal villagers and farmers, ensured Jodi that working conditions and wages were equitable, and that the land, rivers, and herbs were not being overharvested. Jodi then returned to the USA to find that she had unknowingly contracted a complicated case of cerebral malaria. A near-death experience would transform and reawaken her into the eternal world of "beauty beyond appearance."
Currently, as founder of Darshän Beauty LLC, she continues her physical recovery, and embraces a fiercely competitive marketplace to bring forth handcrafted, energetic skin care products to evoke, invite and reflect nature's blessing for all.
